Peter J. Baumgartner: Founded NAPS Inc. in 1988 while developing the first CopyFlow plugins for QuarkXPress to automate the production of a book series by St-Remy Press for Time-Life Books. Pete had studied Computer Science at Boston University after receiving an undergraduate degree in English from Tufts University. At Atex Pete worked in the software department building newspaper publishing systems for the international market. At Texet he wrote the composition system and held a position on the senior staff. At North Atlantic he has led the company and its development efforts. Pete is currently fascinated by Mobile apps and championed NAPS early adoption of HTML5 app technologies.
He enjoys cross-country skiing, hiking, photography, and sailing. His first book, "London Goes To Sea" was published by Sheridan House in 2004.
Steve Caine: After many years working as a newspaper reporter and editor, and then as a magazine editor, Steve moved from the Editorial to the Production side of publishing and began writing software -- everything from shrink-wrapped plug-ins for individual and small-business graphic designers to key client components of enterprise-level content management systems. From requirements analysis through design, implementation, deployment and customer support, Steve has been involved in every part of the application lifecycle, working hard to deliver real value to customers.
More recently, Steve has been expanding his experience into the area of mobile software with apps for the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch. Steve has become a master at prepping and delivering our mobile apps to the iTunes Apps store.
"Hobbies? ... I read a lot, mostly science and history. I listen to music, mostly classical and folk, some New Age and Celtic, recorded and live. One thing I'm good at is writing code. That's where my creative energies go these days."
Chris Forrester: Skills: C++ Quark Xtension PC & Mac: I'm an expert. Ruby on Rails: it excites me. Javascript: I'm beginning to like it. CSS, HTML I'll do it if I have to. Adobe InDesign plugins: I can write these also.
Chris raises rescue dogs and is an avid tennis player.

Kim Beckham: Kim's roots are in the Midwest but she came home to New England to work with the NAPS Team in 2000. Kim began keeping the NAPS accounts and administering the large database of CopyFlow Gold licenses; but has since embraced web technologies and social networking. Kim most recently set up the Facebook page for NAPS's new mobile game, Memory Ace.
While Kim can often be found wandering the surrounding forests and parks with her camera, she is always only a click away. You can find some of her photos at throughkimseyes on SmugMug.
Nate Laffan: Nate started building websites in high school, and after graduating with a BA in International Affairs from Lewis and Clark College, decided against the traditional career path of a diplomat and set about learning CSS instead. He has been working as a freelance graphic designer, illustrator and front-end developer since 2005. Examples of Nate's work can be found at natelaffan.com
