Concord, MA, April 6, 2001 – North Atlantic Publishing Systems today announced that Key3Media Events is purchasing NPS 2000 for its Media Products Group. The Media Products Group produces a wide variety of publications, but is especially known for their trade show dailies, which provide intensive editorial coverage for major Key3Media events such as Seybold Seminars and COMDEX.

"We chose NAPS after evaluating a number of possible solutions," said Mark Saylor, Senior Vice President, Content, Key3Media Events. "We're hopeful that NAPS will provide a strong tool to help us with our publications."

The system will include NPS 2000 for web-based editorial workflow management, as well as HNJ Engine, for collaboration between editors using Microsoft Word and layout artists using QuarkXPress. The servers will be located in Needham Massachusetts, where the Media Products Group is based, but users will be logging in from a number of locations, including on-site trade show locations. The flexibility of the web-based interface was a key element in attracting Key3Media evaluators to the NPS 2000 solution.

The installation of Key3Media’s NPS 2000 system is scheduled to take place in May 2001, with initial usage for live publications planned for shortly thereafter.
