Boston, MA, July 31, 2000 - North Atlantic Publishing Systems, Inc. has been awarded membership in the GoldenPartner XTensions Developer program by Quark, Inc. for its dedicated involvement in developing intuitive XTensions® solutions for Quark products during the past decade.

The award letter, from Quark's CTO Tim Gill, reads in part: "For the past decade, your creativity and expertise have empowered Quark customers to respond to workflow challenges with unique solutions. Your intuitive XTensions solutions are vital to the success of Quark products, and we thank you for your dedication in this ever-changing industry."

North Atlantic's popular XTensions include such products as CopyFlow™, Droplet™, and HNJ Engine™. These products help automate the publishing process through the batch import and export of text, the batch import of art, and the drag and drop of art into QuarkXPress® documents. HNJ Engine incorporates a unique Microsoft Word® filter, enabling tight two-way communication between Word and Quark. Innovations such as these have brought requests for the products from around the world and praise from industry leaders. North Atlantic uses these XTensions to tightly bind QuarkXPress into its publishing workflow solution, the NAPS Publishing System (NPS).
